Nanning International Air Cargo and Mail Throughput Breaks 20,000 Tons

On December 8th, at Nanning Wuxu International Airport, with an all-cargo plane taking off to Bangkok, it marked that Nanning’s international air cargo and mail throughput exceeded 20,000 tons this year, doubling the previous year.

Since the beginning of this year, around the strategic deployment of Nanning Wuxu International Airport to become a gateway hub airport for ASEAN and an international air cargo hub, Guangxi Airport Management Group has successively opened Nanning to and from Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Davao and other countries and regions. The route has encrypted the cargo flights between Nanning and Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Ho Chi Minh and other places. Currently, Nanning has 9 international cargo routes flying to 6 ASEAN countries. Under the current situation of continuous shortage of domestic air cargo capacity, the company successfully introduced the on-site all-cargo capacity of Tianjin Cargo Airlines and Hangzhou Yuantong Cargo Airlines Co., Ltd., supported by this, and opened the air-to-air transfer business in the mode of international bills. Nanning's freight route network facing ASEAN and other countries has created positive conditions.

It is reported that Guangxi Airport Management Group has formulated a three-year action plan for the construction of Nanning International Air Cargo Hub, and strives to double Nanning's international air cargo and mail throughput in 2022 on the basis of 2021 to reach 40,000 tons, which will be realized in 2023. 60,000 tons, initially forming a "double-sector" freight route network that radiates to important destinations in ASEAN and other countries, and inwardly radiates to hinterland cities.
